Minneapolis Condo Conversions
This data was compiled from the City of Minneapolis Planning Division, the Minneapolis Assessor’s office, and through searches
of real estate records. We welcome information on any omissions or inaccuracies.
Power Point Presentation on Condo Conversions
This presentation was compiled by HPP to help educate community members and city leaders on the problems created by condo conversions.
It includes affordability statistics and maps.
Analysis of Condo Converted Properties in Minneapolis 2000-2005
A report prepared by Housing Link for the Housing Preservation Project. This report challenges the conception that the converted units were
all previosuly high end rentals, and finds instead that 58% of the converted units had been affordable to families earning 50%MMI.
Complete List of Manufactured Home Parks in Minnesota
This data was compiled from the lists of parks licensed by the Minnesota Department of Health and various county health
departments. Because much data was initially missing, we called many (though by no means all) city and county offices in
an attempt to fill in the blanks, and in the process discovered many licensed parks that had in fact closed as well as numerous
existing parks that were not licensed.
Power Point Presentation on Manufactured Home Parks
This presentation was compiled by HPP to help educate community members and affordable housing advocated on manufactured home communities
specifically in Minnesota.
Complete List of Low-Income Housing Tax Credit Projects in Minnesota
This data was compiled from lists published by HUD, the MHFA, and various PHAs. In some cases the data was contradictory. When this
occurred, we printed the source which appeared to have the most complete information.
Maps and Charts
Thanks to a generous grant from ESRI, HPP now has high level mapping software. The ArcView software will be a critical tool to help us identify exactly where affordable housing currently exists, where it is most needed and where it is most at risk of loss. So that this technology can help others in the field of affordable housing, we are publishing our maps as JPEG files on our website. If you have ArcView software and would like to be sent the original files so that you can interact with them, please email Emily.
